Stormrise was an adventure included in the Twelfth Doctor version of the Doctor Who Roleplaying Game sourcebook.
Publisher's summary[[edit]]
In this adventure the characters visit a coastal village as it is engulfed by a horrific storm. Hiding in the storm is an evil force that seeks control of powerful Time Lord technology. Can the characters hold off disaster?
Characters[[edit]]
Note that due to the fluid, interactive nature of tabletop roleplaying games, not all of these characters will be encountered during the story and/or may be swapped out or modified at the Gamemaster's discretion. All names are as presented in the text.
- Gary Spencer
- Mark Covacks
- Evelyn Covacks
- Lucy Thorp
- Mrs Millidge
- Sinead Inglis
- Storm Bats
- The Stormhead
Worldbuilding[[edit]]
Time Lords and the Time War[[edit]]
- During the Time War, three Time Lords trying to escape the time lock created the Vector Key, a means of allowing time travel that uses empathic circuits to form a psychic bond, allowing three or more people to travel in time and space. The Vector Key escaped the Time War and crashed on Earth without its operators.
Notes[[edit]]
- The opening premise of this adventure - a coastal village beset by storms - is not dissimilar to that of the very first Doctor Who Roleplaying Game adventure, Arrowdown.
- As with other stories included in rulebook releases, no specific writer is credited for this story.
- Promotional photos and screencaps used to illustrate moments from this adventure include In the Forest of the Night, Listen, The Caretaker, and Mummy on the Orient Express.
