In 2002, he earned a scholarship to attend the W. B. Yeats International Summer School based on the merits of his full-length play "Ankhenaten & Nefertiti." In 2007, the Indiana Theatre Association awarded him the Basile Playwriting Fellowship for his ten-minute play "The Clockwork Man" and his play "Silent Cinema" won the Artsweek Playwriting Competition.
