The wife of Tiger Maratha and their daughter Priyanka were the primary reason why Tiger stopped travelling with the Fourth Doctor. She was killed in the Rama-16 space disaster. Tiger was devastated and buried himself in the relics of the past. Since his wife's death was space related, he did not approve of Priyanka training to become a pilot for deep space exploration.
