The Daleks were depicted in several sources considered by this Wiki as "invalid sources".
History
The missing Daleks
Two "dark grey" Dalek props from Doctor Who were once stolen from the BBC Television Centre on 22 May. A few days later, Blue Peter aired an appeal for viewers to help track them down, with an intervention from a real Dalek of the same model. It explained that the missing Daleks were members of the Earth Observation Delegation, encouraging viewers to assist the "humanoid police" in their inquiries. It added that if the abductees are returned unharmed to their people, the Daleks would generously assume that their theft was not a hostile act but simply an "excess of hospitality". Otherwise, however, the Dalek Supreme Council would initiate "Search and Find Procedure", which was likely to result in the extermination of the culprits. Doreen
- Main article: Doreen (Hallo My Dalek)
An eccentric Grey Dalek named Doreen lived with Doctor Why onboard Doctor Why's TARDIS. Doreen kept her eyestalk raised straight above her head like an antenna at all times, though this did not seem to impair her navigational abilities. She possessed a few other physical peculiarities: she was capable (and, indeed, fond) of eating metal; and, if one yanked down her manipulator arm like the lever of a slot machine, her casing could function as one, releasing a flood of coins. At Robot Banks
Several Daleks, including a Grey Dalek, a Skaro City- or Mechanus Attack-like Blue Dalek, and a Gold Dalek, were employed at a dysfunctional call centre for a banking company, alongside various other robotic beings. After a caller guilelessly tried to get through to the services they needed, the call was transferred by the B9 Robot to John Robot. John then attempted to pass the call to a Grey Dalek, who was flanked by the Blue Dalek. However, because the Dalek could not hold a phone receiver in its manipulator arm, the phone instead dropped to the ground. This angered the Grey Dalek, who began shouting "Exterminate! Exterminate! Destroy!" and firing at John while a frantic B9 Robot again repeated "Your call is important to us!" to no one in particular. (TV: Robots Ad [+]Loading...["Robots Ad (TV story)"])
Invasion of Weston-super-Mare
A group of four Black Daleks once "invaded" Weston-super-Mare, which in practice looked conspicuously like simply holidaying there. They first reflected on enjoying the seaside view, then began patrolling, chanting that they were supreme. One Black Dalek incurred the anger of a small dog, who began barking at it until its owner picked the animal up. After rudely cutting through the queue, the Dalek tred to buy cake from a doughnut cart, demanding to be served or exterminate the salesman.
Meanwhile, another Black Dalek "terrorise[d] tourists" for a little while before stopping for ice cream. It was served by a mocking waitress who sarcastically asked it sarcastically "how it [was] going to eat that". The Black Dalek boasted that its "skills" [would] prevail, but eventually admits that it has no idea how to hold an ice-cream cone with its manipulator arm.
Together once more, the four Black Daleks reluctantly agreed to let tourists take pictures of them, and even selfies with them — even with a dog, albeit a different one. (WC: Daleks invade Weston-super-Mare [+]Loading...["Daleks invade Weston-super-Mare (webcast)"])
Interrupting the Doctor Who Prom
A Dalek once interrupted a "Doctor Who Prom" being performed at the Royal Albert Hall by an orchestra and choir. Declaring that the Doctor was "the enemy of the Daleks", it ordered the conductor to step down and for all the music to stop for 15 minutes, for the duration of which the Dalek ordered the audience to simply keep standing there in uncomfortable silence. The conductor, however, told them before leaving that they should ignore the "baked-bean tin bully" and simply treat this as a normal intermission. Garlic mix-up
When Henry Calvert and AndrewsVisual were beamed aboard the STARSHED, Doctor Doctor presented a garlic with a plunger to them, describing it as the "number one Doctor Who baddy, the Garlic". Henry found this ridiculous, stating that they'd come to see a Dalek. (TV: The STARSHED Experience [+]Loading...["The STARSHED Experience (TV story)"])
