The University of Vremnya was a university established on Vremnya by a group of wealthy patrons in 2596 to bring culture, learning and understanding to the war-stricken Vremnyans.
The university was located near the Cathedral of Vremnya, comprising of a street of redbrick townhouses purchased by Irving Braxiatel, one of the patrons, from the City Council. These buildings were in a state of disrepair with creaky floors, leaky roofs and no lifts, and had lecture halls that could hold at least sixty people. Braxiatel put Emile Mars-Smith in charge of organising the early stages of starting up the university and appointed Bernice Summerfield as head of the Archaeology Department.
