Sometime during the '''43rd century''' the Daleks attempted an invasion of [[Plutonia 7]], hoping to enslave the giant creatures native to the planet and use them to mine metals from the centre of the planet and use it to build a fleet of ships to help the Dalek's future invasion plans. Unfortunately for the Daleks, they did not realise that the large exoskeletons of these creatures acted as extremely strong armour, even strong enough to resist Dalek firepower. Aside from wildlife, the Daleks were also preyed on by giant carnivore plants. Although the Daleks initial force was totally defeated, suffering far more casualties then expected, the possibility of a second, stronger invasion, threatened the extraordinary planet.
