Catch was a game which involved at least two players and a ball. According to the Toymaker, catch was the first game humanity ever created, with its origin happening during the Stone Age, when a human used a stone to kill a man by throwing it at him. He also explained that the only rule was that the first to drop the ball would lose the game.

The Fourteenth and Fifteenth Doctors selected catch as the game they wished to play against the Toymaker in their final game as the best of three match atop the UNIT headquarters in 2023 London. Accepting the challenge, the Toymaker conjured a ball for them to play the game with, but tried to give himself an early advantage by suddenly lobbing the ball at the Fourteenth Doctor while explaining the rules. After several throws, the Fifteenth Doctor tossed the ball so well that the Toymaker failed to catch it, losing the game. (TV: The Giggle [+]Loading...["The Giggle (TV story)"])
