The Divination Thermometer or Life Thermometer was an item in Torchwood Three's Restricted Items Archive. The thermometer appeared identical to others of its kind, but only had one list of numbers. Toshiko Sato and Owen Harper argued whether the thermometer registered Celsius or Fahrenheit. Upon placing the thermometer beneath one's tongue, it would display a number, in Owen's case, a "one".
