Just Another Thursday was one of a series of online comic strips posted to the BBC's Doctor Who website. The comic strips were created using an online tool called Comic Maker. The art consisted of images based upon the 2005-present Doctor Who revival. The BBC asked a number of professional Doctor Who writers to submit stories.

Summary[[edit] | [edit source]]

The Doctor and Donna Noble scramble to stop the Slitheen from taking control of Earth's citizens via TV broadcasts and forcing them to hand over their valuables. In the process, the Doctor's actions attract the attention of BBC News, making Donna and him instant celebrities.

Characters[[edit] | [edit source]]

Worldbuilding[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • The TARDIS can expand to almost any size, even big enough to hold the entire Earth.

Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • Due to the limits of Comic Maker some familiar models are used for items:
    • Jabe and a Clockwork Droid are seen in London.
    • It appears to be Casual Day at the BBC given the reporter's state of dress (unless this takes place in a future when BBC News anchors wear bunny hugs on the air). In all likelihood, the creator of the comic strip used Comic Maker's clip art of Mickey Smith for the reporter.
