Argini was a Thal engineer who served under Balatan. After the Quetzel was boarded by the Daleks and redirected to Skaro, Argini and the other crewmembers were imprisoned. After Davros and his rebel Daleks opened fire on the fake Dalek Prime, the real Dalek Prime released the prisoners, who escaped to the Quetzel and fled the planet.
