Hi! quick one this time....If a typo error (on my part as opposed to (sic) ), is flagged up on the discussion page of an article (for example in Publisher's Summary!) , and I correct it.... is it ok to then delete the entry on the discussion page as its not for discussion any more as its been corrected? I've only just started (yeh I know!!), checking my watchlist pages regularly. And wasn't sure about the general policy. It seems silly to keep it, and only serves to highlight my oversights.<br>

PS I am grateful and at least I know its not a total waste as the page has been looked at, at least once! [[User:The Librarian|The Librarian]] 14:20, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

No.
You can add a correction below the note on the discussion pages. But removing or editing another's additions to the discussion should not be done. This is covered on the Tardis:Vandalism and Unhelpful Content Policy#Altering of personal pages and postings page.
Additionally...everything that's written, edited, deleted and otherwise altered on an article page is going to be in the page's history, even after deletion of any given page its history continues to exist. --Tangerineduel 15:01, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

Ok my apologies, I think I've done it, well I'm sure I've done it! Once, maybe twice, this week. I'll try and remember which one it might have been and undo it. No offence or deliberate breach of the rules was intended. Again I'm sorry please forgive me and I throw myself on your mercy. The Librarian 02:39, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
