The Doctor Who Club of Australia, formerly known as the Australasian Doctor Who Fan Club, was formed in 1976 after fans picketed the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's Sydney office to protest their decision to cease broadcasting of Doctor Who. The club is strictly and proudly a non-profit organisation, run entirely by unpaid volunteers. The club publishes the fanzine Data Extract.
