The Polyphase Avitron was a robotic parrot owned by the Captain, who considered it to be his only true friend. It would attack anyone who displeased its master. The Captain sent it to attack K9 who managed to destroy it. The Doctor returned the broken Avatron to the Captain. (DW: The Pirate Planet)
