Lodge was a London resident who, when the city was evacuated due to dinosaurs appearing, stayed behind to loot. He had stolen two tape recorders, a radio and a colour television set when he was arrested by soldiers and taken to a detention center. When the Doctor and Sarah Jane Smith were taken to the same center, he helped them knock out the guard, but when he tried to betray them, the Doctor knocked him out too.
