The Aeolians were a species that communicated using song.

Biology

The Aeolians were one eyed, blue-skinned creatures that had loud and high pitched mating calls. They were masters of amplification and used this to call their mate, their songs were powerful enough to pulverise distant stars. When on low energy, they could initiate a self-replicating feedback loop, which derives it's power from harvesting gavity, this was extremely dangerous as it could cause the destruction of an Earth-sized planet. The Aeolians seemed to speak in a song-like language. The Aeolians were also able to live for millenia, as the Aeolian in 2050 was alive during the Centaurian Catastrophe. (K9TV: Aeolian)

History

At some point in Aeolian history, the Anubians attacked the Aeolians. (K9TV: The Curse of Anubis)

The Anubian attack may or may not have been related to the Centaurian catastrophe of the 11th century, which drove the Aeolians to near-Extinction. The catastrophe left at least two known survivors, a couple.

A female Aeolian came to Earth in 2050 to send out soundwaves in an attempt to attract her lost mate, this caused massive storms across the United Kingdom. This eventually succeeded as her mate sent a signal from the Orpheus constellation, but she had to continue so he could recognise her. She was later found by Drake and CCPC officers who tried to apprehend her by stunning her, when they tried to kill her K9 threatened them and they backed down. Starkey was able to play a new tune which brought the partner to Earth, they were one again and left Earth after thanking Starkey. (K9TV: Aeolian)
