In the year 64 AD, Nero's slave buyer Tavius bought Barbara Wright and brought her to the palace. Nero immediately took to her and chased her round the palace. When The Doctor came to stay pretending to be the famous lyre player Maximus Pettulian, Nero grew jealous of his popularity.
