Colin McLaren was the Laird of the Highlander McLaren clan and the father of Alexander McLaren and Kirsty McLaren. Injured at the Battle of Culloden, his family and Jamie McCrimmon fled, taking refuge in an abandoned cottage. The Second Doctor tended to the Laird's wounds, but they were captured by Algernon Ffinch, then handed over to Grey to be sold into slavery. He and the other prisoners were freed due to the Second Doctor's help. Reunited with his daughter, he and the other former prisoners left on the Annabelle for France. (DW: The Highlanders)
His daughter Kirsty later married Jamie upon returning to Scotland and he became the grandfather of their eight or more children. (CC: The Glorious Revolution)
