Tarzan was a fictional character about a man who lived in the jungle amongst the apes. Ace gave Nimrod (a man who strongly resembled an ape) the nickname Tarzan (DW: Ghost Light)
When Hilary Pink asked the Eighth Doctor if he had ever read Tarzan of the Apes, the Doctor replied that he had met him, too. (EDA: Eater of Wasps)
- This would seem to imply that Tarzan exists as a real person in the Doctor Who universe.
Behind the scenes
