Elite Group One was a Sea Devil force that served as part of the Silurian military during their reign over the Earth. It was unknown how many other, if any, Elite Groups there were.
The Group was lead by Sauvix and contained dozens of elite Sea Devil warriors. Each was programed with battle orientation, which would start as soon as they were freed from suspended animation, and each was dressed in secure, samurai style armour. They were armed with sonic discs and had a larger cutting device for cutting through doors.
Elite Group One was put in suspended animation in a sea colony when the Silurians abandoned the Earth to its supposed destruction. Centuries later in 2084, Icthar, the last of the Triad, awoke them and used them to attack Sea Base 4 in an attempt to destroy humanity. They were stopped, however, when the Doctor was forced to kill them with hexachromite gas. (DW: Warriors of the Deep)
- The Sea Devils of Elite Group One were somewhat different in appearance to the ones the Third Doctor encountered before, this possibly due simply to evolution or to genetic engineering considering the genetic differences between Sea Devils and Silurians.
