My first Doctor was number 4. I've had a love of Who errata since I picked up a copy of The Doctor Who Technical Manual as a kid.
Salyavin was a Time Lord invented by Douglas Adams. He first appeared, or rather didn't appear, in the unaired Doctor Who serial Shada. He also appeared in Douglas Adam's novel Dirk Gentley's Holistic Detective Agency, which was itself a reworking of the serial City of Death.
Salyavin's working alias was Professor Urban Chrontis. He held the esteemed, yet abstruse title of Regius Professor Chronotis, and the equally obscure position, Chair of Chronology. He was awarded this cinecure by King George the 3rd after answering three fundamental questions on the nature of time.
