people have made some stupid speculations about what the silent is for instace omega who is DEAD end of story, rassilon most probably KILLED by the master, the master either KILLED by time lords for numurous crimes or used up all his LIFE FORCE to kill rassilon And For the benifit of those who think it is the rani the voice is a MALE ONE not a female one it is a unknow force that we haver never heard of before

also river song she is not jenny (you do not snog your own dad) or rose who is traped in a parrale universe she is just river song

to be honest i do not see why any one would want to wipe out the entire universe (not even davros who is more insane then and other being)

to be honest people should realy think through there ideas before posting them

also the idea that the 8th doc is coming back is stupid pepole have said this for the past 3 series HE IS NOT COMING BACK ---Prof Of Whooligy 19:45, April 5, 2011 (UTC)---

Most of those theories are stupid, but keep in mind that just because an enemy has died in Doctor Who, that does not mean that they will not return. The Master and Davros have both died countless times. Omega died in The Three Doctors, but came back in Arc of Infinity. I'm not saying that any of these people are "the silence" but those theories are not as ridiculous as you say. And even if you don't understand why, Davros did try to destroy the universe. The Master also tried to destroy the universe in Logopolis. You are right about the theories about River Song and Jenny and Rose not making any sense, however. The 8th Doctor probably won't be back this season, but I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back eventually. Based on the episodes for Doctor Who's tenth anniversary, twentieth anniversary, and thirtieth anniversary, I expect that we will be seeing a few Doctors returning in a few years for the show's fiftieth anniversary.Icecreamdif 20:22, April 5, 2011 (UTC)

Don't forget Zagreus at the fortieth anniversary. --Revan\Talk 20:32, April 5, 2011 (UTC)

Throughout the classic and current TV series as well as the spinoff lines, I've lost count of the times we've been told by the powers that be in no uncertain terms that the return of something or some other event wasn't and could never happen only for it to happen. The Master, the Daleks, Gallifrey and the Time Lords, and so many other things which have been irretrievably lost/dead/totally destroyed have eventually returned so many times that it's pretty much standard procedure. Some theories may seem stupider than others, and I completely agree that some of the speculation out there is entirely ridiculous to me purely because I don't think it'd make a good story for the writers to tell, but theorising about the future of Doctor Who has always worked best when folks haven't discounted a possibility just because it's totally impossible. :-) Rob T Firefly 03:23, April 6, 2011 (UTC)
