There was some talk [[User talk:Tangerineduel/Archive - Wiki formatting#Welcome template 2|on Tangerineduel's talk page a while back]] which mentioned the possibility of updating the image in [[:Template:Welcome]] from that one of the Tenth Doctor to one featuring the Eleventh. Consensus seemed to be there wasn't yet an image available which would be suitably "talking-to-the-viewer." I don't have a recorded copy available just now, but in case others have I'd like to suggest the bit at the beginning of [[CON]]: ''[[Ship Ahoy!]]'' in which Matt Smith, in-character as the Doctor, explains a writing contest for children. He's at the TARDIS console and talking directly to the viewer, I think a comparable image to the one currently in the template can be sourced from it. :I know the bit you're talking about and it's possible there ''is'' something there. I'm not in any rush, though. I don't think there's any necessity to change the image to the latest Doctor, or for it necessarily to be the Doctor at all. My view is that the image we have now is fine. It conveys the image of welcome ''better'' than anything I could imagine. You'd really have to find Matt Smith in ''exactly'' the same sorta pose (opening up the TARDIS doors and looking straight down the lens) for the current image to be equalled, I think. | |||
