The Story of the Guardians was a 2|entertain DVD documentary that looked at the role of the Guardians of Time in Doctor Who.

It comprised of interviews and began with Robert Luckham recalling the life of his father, Cyril Luckham. Tom Spilsbury considered the "man of leisure" appearance of Cyril's White Guardian and thought it was rather good.

Valentine Dyall's daughter, Sarah Leppard, considered how nice her father was compared to his on screen character. Moray Laing considered the mysterious nature of the White Guardian, specifically commenting on how rarely he appeared. As a final note, Spilsbury and Laing considered the eternal nature of the Guardians of Time.
