Eric Alba — often credited outside Doctor Who as Frederick G. Alba — was the visual effects supervisor for the 1996 tele-movie. As such he was an employee of Northwest Imaging & FX, the company who had overall responsibility for the visual effects of the television movie.

Alba's career began in the Star Trek franchise, where he worked on The Next Generation, DS9, and Voyager. More recently, he's been the on-set visual effects supervisor on a few episodes of The Sopranos.
