The Hugo Awards are given every year for the best science fiction or fantasy works and achievements of the previous year.
Since 2006, Doctor Who has been entered for the Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation in Short Form. Torchwood also recieved a nomination for this award.
In 2006, Dalek and Father's Day were nominated with The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances winning.
In 2007, School Reunion and Army of Ghosts/Doomsday were nominated with The Girl in the Fireplace winning.
In 2008, Human Nature/The Family of Blood and Captain Jack Harkness were nominated with Blink winning.
