Gastronauts were a race of beings that lived to eat. They existed only to feed the next version of themselves growing inside. Once fully gorged they burst their skins and a new one emerged. They sought out new delicacies wherever they could find them. New finds attracted them in great numbers and they were known to strip planets. They arrived at Terry's Cafe , then left to follow up a lead from the Tenth Doctor. (DWAM: Fried Death)
