The Moon of Lost Hope (comic story) was a Doctor Who Adventures comic strip published in 2011.
Summary
As the Space Rescue Service Shuttle Alpha Seven approaches the landing zone on Thosis, (the infamous ‘Moon of Lost Hope’ in 3287), the planet reaches out and drags it down onto the boggy landscape. As the rescue party of three emerge from the wreck they are met by the Doctor, Amy Pond and Rory Williams, who takes them to the other wreck’s surviving crew. They watch as the alien mud feeds on anything inorganic including the rescue ship and nearly one of the crew when her spacesuit comes into contact with it. Taking shelter aboard the crashed star freighter the Doctor begins carrying out the necessary repairs to try and get the ship ready to leave the moon before the mud reaches them. While looking through the ships computer the Doctor comes across some classified files detailing Koth-Kularr (who the Doctor knows to have been condemned to a dimension-warp in the Bad Old Days and also a reference to Agent 99. The freighter was on a secret mission now deemed to be a failure. As the wreck survivors blast off in the repaired freighter, and the Doctor , Amy and Rory manage to get back to the TARDIS only just beating the mud, the Doctor decides to find out more about Agent 99!
