Timanov was the stern and devout religious leader of the planet Sarn.
Unknown to them, the inhabitants of Sarn were descended from a colony of exiled Trions. Having forgotten their origins, many of the Trions there believed in Timanov without question.
Timanov mainly concerned himself with the dissident Unbelievers, who doubted his word. He devoutly believed in the god Logar. The shapechanging Kamelion, taken over by the Master and now resembling him, manipulated the prophecies in order to gain control of Timanov and, through him, the colonists. With his faith tested, Timanov eventually chose to die on Sarn and face the volcanoes rather than renounce his faith in Logar. (DW: Planet of Fire)
