The Peg Dolls were life-sized dolls that inhabited the doll's house in George's cupboard. The dolls were the size of average adult humans, with white porcelain masks featuring tiny faces. They had long yarn hair and different arrays of clothes. (DW: Night Terrors)
The Peg Dolls inhabited the dolls' house in George's cupboard. As the Doctor explained, it had become a psychic repository for all his fears. This meant these were no ordinary dolls. They could move, speak and hunt. When Rory and Amy were trapped in the house, they stumbled across the dolls and believed they were harmless. Then the ghastly by them when Purcell was captured.
The dolls forced force victims to change. It began with the hands. Fingers stiffened and turned to wood. The process spread until the victim of the dolls became like them. The Doctor called their state a 'living death'.
When Alex's unconditional love for his son allowed George to overcome his fears, the Peg Dolls were expelled from the house and reverted to their original form. (DW: Night Terrors)
