The Franks were a germanic tribe that lived in what is now present day France near the Rhine river (known history). In an alternative timeline version of our universe, a group of Franks plundered the Pandorica (guarded by the Lone Centurion) in 420 AD. It is unknown what they did with it afterward, but by 1120 AD it was taken as the prize pocession of the Knights Templar. (DW: The Big Bang)
