This wiki has certain regulations in place that affect the size, file formats and naming conventions for images that you can upload. Here's a quick summary of what appears at help:files and our image use and user image policies.

  • We only accept .jpg for photos and screenshots. Please do not upload screenshots in the .png format. The .svg and .png formats are only for line drawings, and for pictures which utilise transparency.
  • Remember that your pictures will generally be seen at a width of no more than 250px. Crop them in such a way as to emphasise the subject at that small width.
  • Try to keep keep your file size below about 100mb. This is usually easy to do as long as you keep your total width less than 800px.
  • Filenames should be standard, comprehensible English words which meaningfully describe the image. Do not submit filenames comprised of meaningless alphanumeric strings. You don't need to rename the file on your computer; you are able to give it a new name by modifying the Destination filename field below.
  • All uploads must be properly licensed by selecting one of our copyright messages from the drop-down at the bottom of this page. Pictures which do not have a copyright message affixed are subject to immediate deletion.
  • If you are uploading multiple pictures, we recommend you use Special:MultipleUpload. It'll save you time.
