Capella Four (also known as Auriga) was a small, uninhabited world.

Astronomical Data

Capella Four was the fourth planet orbiting the double star Capella in the constellation Auriga. As both stars were quite hot, Capella Four was a warm world, with a desert-like biome.

Its native life was remarkable for its uniformity: native flora was dominated by plants resembling Earth's bracken fern (26 species, all identical except for size), while native fauna was restricted to 18 species of a nocturnal spider-like creature, also identical except for size. The fern-like plants and spider-like creatures were all consumable by humans. (BFBS: Steal from the World )

History

At one point in its distant past, the planet was an outpost of the now-vanished Aurigan civilisation.

In 2562, archaeologist Bernice Summerfield visited the planet to find traces of the Aurigan civilization. On one memorable dig in her early career. Shortly after being dropped off on the planet, she fell off a cliff, breaking both legs. It took her a month to crawl back to the dig site. (BFBS: Steal from the World )
