For the Doctor Who episode entitled "Air Lock", see Galaxy 4.

An airlock was a device that permitted the passage of objects, people, and the like, between two drastically different environments, such as between a pressurized and vacuum environment or between an underwater and dry environment. The lock consisted of two airtight doors in series which did not open simultaneously, allowing the intermediate chamber to change from one environment to the other.
