Colonel Jefferson may be referring to the actual Lt. Col. Jefferson, one of the Tuskegee Airmen. According to the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_Jefferson Wikipedia article], he retired in 1969. Doctor Who references historical figures all the time, and I imagine this is intended as an implication that instead of retiring, Jefferson actually took over command of Area 51. | Colonel Jefferson may be referring to the actual Lt. Well, in real life, in 1969, Alexander Jefferson went back into education and became a math an science teacher. The idea that such a person would ever return to secret military duty is [[Brigadier|ridiculously implausible]]. Next you'll be telling us that alien scientists can steal Time Lord regeneration technology or something. :) --[[Special:Contributions/99.33.26.0|99.33.26.0]] 08:05, May 5, 2011 (UTC) | Well, in real life, in 1969, Alexander Jefferson went back into education and became a math an science teacher.
