Marunianism was a religion common in the 26th century.
Marunianism began when the Protestant church accepted all forms of technology. Marunia Lennox rejected this, starting a new religion which opposed all forms of science. Over time, the rules were loosened, with only genetic engineering, vivisection and experimentation for its own sake considered wrong.
Marunianism's symbol was of a stylized hand, implying that God intended to humans to have 4 fingers and 1 thumb.
Maeve Ruthven was a Marunianist. (BNA: Dry Pilgrimage)
