Flashing his psychic paper, the [[Eleventh Doctor]] passes off himself, [[Amy Pond]] and [[Rory Williams]] as passengers aboard a cruise ship on the planet [[Ockora]]. Marvelling at the aquatic life that rises above the sea waves, the Doctor is horrified to find the ‘passengers’ suddenly firing, with the ships owner [[Arix]], offering a hundred-credit bonus to whoever gets the biggest catch! Arix explains that this is a hunting expedition, but is shocked when suddenly the cruiser is rocked by an attack from beneath. The Ockorans, usually such a docile race, have begun to fight back, In an attempt to sink the ship, they puncture the hold and the cruiser begins to sink fast. Rory guides the passenger to the safety of the TARDIS, but the Doctor and Arix are thrown overboard. The Doctor is captured by the scarred protector of this world, a huge sea creature, determined to avenge the persecution of his kind by the ‘tormentors’. While the Doctor pleads with the creature, Arix shoots it from behind. The Doctor swears to make sure this never happens again and, rising to the surface, rejoins Amy and Rory onboard a floating TARDIS. Peril on the Sea (comic story) was a Doctor Who Adventures comic strip published in 2011.
Summary
