Ellis Island was an island in New York City. In 1892, after Jack Harkness got into a fight at the immigration centre there, a man shot him though the heart, causing his second death, and proving to him that he could not die. (DW: Utopia)
Jack went to Ellis Island again in 1927, where he met Angelo Colasanto.(TW: Immortal Sins)
