Notes

  • This is the first of four illustrated children's storybooks written by David Martin, co-creator of K9.
  • The exploding spaceship on the cover apparently comes from the work of Chris Foss who painted the covers of many science fiction book covers during the 1970s.

Continuity

  • Omegon may in fact be the renegade Time Lord Omega, and there is a possible reference to the events of The Three Doctors.
  • K9 is described as working for the Time Lords, which suggests that the story takes place some time after the events of The Invasion of Time. Presumably the other three books in the series continue from this continuity.
  • This book introduces the space vessel K-NEL which would be referenced throughout the series.
