Summary
Kalendorf has been sent to Vega VI for negotiations allowing the Knights of Velyshaa to participate in the impending Dalek War. He's waiting for contact from Earth Alliance operative Alby Brook when the Daleks attack Vega VI. The city and spaceport are obliterated, but Kalendorf survives through a combination of skills, panic and luck.
