The Wooden King was a being created from an Androzani Tree. It grew from what looked like a Christmas bauble which Cyril Arwell had grabbed. Cyril followed the creature back to a copse of trees that had grown into a tower. When Madge Arwell was used as a lifeboat to save the trees' life force and travelled into the vortex, back to 1941, the Wooden King, with its Queen turned to ordinary wood.(DW: The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe.)
