Talking of potential days, I was thinking about the weeping angels. If they touched a miraclised human, who had a potential of 200 years or something like that, sending them back in time would mean they will only live a potential of 80 years or so. the angels would get quite a meal out of a miraclised human. id be surprised if a group of them didn't come to Earth after Miracle Day. That's possible but would depend on the energy cost of getting here. It would, anyway, be a bonus for any that were already here, as the ones in ''Blink ''were. The possible flaw is that we don't know in enough detail how the Angels' feeding actually works. If it was (somehow) affected by the ending of the Miracle, it wouldn't give them | That's possible but would depend on the energy cost of getting here. It would, anyway, be a bonus for any that were already here, as the ones in ''Blink ''were. The possible flaw is that we don't know in enough detail how the Angels' feeding actually works. If it was (somehow) affected by the ending of the Miracle, it wouldn't give them much more -- perhaps no more -- energy than usual. As I say, we don't know enough, so we can't tell if that would be a flaw or not. --[[Special:Contributions/78.146.177.137|78.146.177.137]][[User talk:78.146.177.137#top|talk to me]] 22:28, January 12, 2012 (UTC)
The Weeping Angel is not a sensible example because the Weeping Angel system is flawed, the victims don't die so the "life energy" were created/copied and not taken in a literal sense. The entire system is odd and quite senseless in that we don't even know what life energy was suppose to be and why a duplicate of it being present in the past would not cause paradox of duplicated energy. Moreover, to what extent can Angels operate machinery so they can actually come to Earth in response to Miracle Day, we really don't know, since equipments do make feedbacks and measurements, how do these affect quantum lock is a mystery. We know that it took the Weeping Angel a couple hundred of years to do something about those stuck in Alfava Metraxis so reacting to Miracle Day would probably not be immediate. However, Weeping Angel deserves another thread and is probably not suitable to be discussed in this thread.
Moreover, if a human is moved to an area/time outside the influence of the morphic field, does it still make sense for the morphic field to supply it or Weeping Angel with life energy? It either makes more sense that the energy is cut off after the human is sent to the past, making the Angel absorbing only a fixed amount of it, or the energy is still linked to the human making either the human staying immortal in the past of both the human and the Angel receiving a constant supply of the life energy from the morphic field. --22:38, January 12, 2012 (UTC) |
