Alisha Hammerson was a human-looking, sophisticated Auton controlled by the Nestene Consciousness.
In the 1990s, she set up a new plastics factory. Within six months, she dominated the plastics market with her company, Hammerson Plastics PLC. A biography was published, called simply Alisha, a book the Seventh Doctor found used too many semi-colons. This first drew the Seventh Doctor's attention to the Nestene plans.
