Betty was an actress who played a heroine in the unfinished film "The Blob from Beyond" by movie director/producer Larry Haxton Jr. Believing her a damsel in distress, the Tenth Doctor 'rescued' Betty from the grip of a Thrunn shortly after arriving in the middle of a film shoot.
