John Woods was one of the contributing artists for The Dalek Book, The Dalek World, and The Dalek Outer Space Book. The absence of individual credits to the stories and the artist's relative obscurity has left it a matter of speculation which stories he produced art for.
Before this, he was an illustrator for Modern Wonder magazine between the years 1937 and 1941. He also contributed to the annual editions of Swift, a sister magazine to Eagle, which it was later merged with.
