The Buukvirm was a large, aggressive, many-tentacled creature (including its tongue), which hunted people with its sense of smell. It could trap people in the pages of a book (as the Doctor, Amy Pond and Rory Williams found out), storing them until it was ready to eat. Using an Index-Jump (a device made by the Doctor) the Buukvirm was trapped when the Doctor escaped in the pages of Padget’s History of the Tea Bag and safely stored away in the TARDIS library.
