The very second name given by the voice of the Beast is "Krop Tor", suggesting that this was not the name of the planet but rather the name of the entity that the planet was designed to hold. :Not sure what else you'd call it, other than maybe "The Being" or "The Creature" but that's vague too. I feel as though "The Beast" does the job well because it's depicted as such, named as such, and to audiences that's the most common name they know the being as (so it works well for searchability). — Fractal • 21:41, 1 August 2024 (UTC)

A Great Old Oneedit source

You can obviously tell the Beast was meant to be a Great Old One - he had lots of powers, he was big, his mind could leave his body etc. If he returns, the BBC have got to explain where he came from and who he really is. I'm sure they will.

"The Beast"edit source

Is 'the Beast' really the proper name for this thing? The Doctor's monologue when he figures out that Toby's possessed strongly implies that "the Beast" is the name of the mindless husk left behind after the being's mind has possessed Toby — not a name for the creature itself, except in error. --Scrooge MacDuck 15:14, October 24, 2018 (UTC)

The very second name given by the voice of the Beast is "Krop Tor", suggesting that this was not the name of the planet but rather the name of the entity that the planet was designed to hold. Aaronbill3 21:09, 22 June 2024 (UTC)
