According to the BBC, Moff has confirmed their exit in series 7:
14 episodes, not 13
Despite Moffat stating in DWM and other BBC sources stating this, the article continues to treat The Snowmen as a standalone, whereas Moffat, etc have said it was considered a "regular" episode. I'm aware there are rumors that Snowmen might not be in included in the Part 2 DVD/Blu-ray release, but that's beside the point. The episode count should be adjusted accordingly. (And in an earlier thread, now archived, I also questioned whether the 2011 Christmas special, which we now know is not being released or circulated in any way with Series 7 shouldn't be moved to the Series 6 article instead... This page really needs to be updated to reflect the fact that the Christmas Special has already aired. The article still refers to it as if it were a future event.Mandalore74 talk to me 03:06, February 2, 2012 (UTC)

Why is The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe stated as part of Series 7? The citation that leads to http://doctorwhotv.co.uk/tag/series-7 doesn't say anything about this episode being part of Series 7.

I think soemone has misunderstood what the article means. I'm pretty sure A Christmas Carol is part of Series 5 and The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe is part of Series 6.

From Steven Moffat's wording it seems Series 7 will have it's own Christmas special. I would urge someone to fic this error.

The Christmas Carol was released with Series 6 on DVD.  214.13.69.132talk to me 11:59, March 7, 2012 (UTC)

Episode Math
So... I'm a bit confused.  We were told the 14 episodes would include DWW (as it says in this very artcile), but the recent companion revelation includes mention of the first half of this series having 6 episodes and the second having 8, meaning 15 episodes.  Now, that said, they said eight for that year, which could even mean the second 2013 series premiere.  Any thoughts? The Night of the Doctoredit source

Should The Night of the Doctor be considered part of this run or Series 8? Silent Hunter UK 19:28, November 14, 2013 (UTC)

No "doctor2" in this seriesedit source

For those who think that the War Doctor should be added to the infobox in the "doctor2" field, here is an explanation why it must not be done:

The doctor2 variable is only for Doctors who actually had a solo adventure in [the] year. Thus, there is no doctor2 in season 10, season 20, or season 22, but there is one in season 21 and season 4. The doctor2 should be considered the one that has the minority of episodes in the season. So in season 4, doctor2 is the First Doctor.Documentation for the Infobox Series template [Template:Infobox Series [src]]

Please do not use this field of the infobox. Amorkuz 22:15, July 1, 2018 (UTC)
