George Crow was a resident of London. A Protestant, he and William Leaf were members of Reverend Thomas Smith's plot to remove Queen Mary I from power in 1555. They were arrested and imprisoned in the Tower of London, but were rescued by the Sixth Doctor, who took George's family and them to one of the safe Protestant cities.
