He is a British actor, comedian and writer most famous for working alongside Robert Webb in the sitcom Peep Show and sketch show That Mitchell and Webb Look. The two also worked together on Doctor Who, as Webb also voiced an unnamed Robot in Dinosaurs on a Spaceship.

Mitchell is also a regular team captain on the long running BBC panel show Would I Lie to You with Lee Mack captaining the opposing team.
