Interment

Interment was the act of burying or interring the dead. This was a common occurrence on Earth. (TV: The Next Doctor) The Sixth Doctor offered up inhumation, sepulture and obsequy as synonyms for this practice. (TV: Revelation of the Daleks)

A fatally wounded Time Lord could take days to die, as their body would continually try to regenerate. As a result, Time Lords preferred to die among their own kind so they would not be buried too early. (TV: Heaven Sent)
